Commissioned by France Culture, Ce qui s’appelle crier is a text woven from several found testimonies of a contemporary drama. Writing is used as an attempt to broadcast information that has already been so, but facts and figures are edited out, in order to only retain the conjuring of sensations, images, mere gestures, and movements. The play thus seeks to create a voice potentially merging the personal and the impersonal, raw information and pathos, as well as the singular and the universal.
