• The first session of the W critical seminar took place at the Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers from October 2008 to January 2009, as a partnership with Art21 magazine. The second session was held at the same location, running from October to December 2009

Open to all, the Séminaire W is critical seminar is a work group that puts various protocols to use for the observation and interpretation of shows in the widest sense of the term (theater plays, dance performances, operas, but also mathematics classes, court hearing, masses, etc.). Simple yet detailed, such group protocols enable to observe how meaning gets constructed through the act of reception – first, via literal description of what is seen, then as meaning is built up in an increasingly elaborate manner, until both loose and complex interpretations are formulated.
